Steps by Step Process to Fitting Your Hearing Aids
Will include a brief introduction to your selected hearing device(s), followed by our experienced clinician preforming the initial insertion, positioning and comfort check.
Now it is time to program and fine tune the device to fit your individual hearing thresholds and comfort levels.
This process will take approximately 20 minutes and involves a number of tests and checks ensure the hearing aids are working adequately to meet your specific requirements.
You will then be taken through the basic components of your new hearing device along with a demonstration on how to maintain, clean and the insertion/removal techniques.
This process will take as long as required until the individual is 100% confident.
If the individual requires assistance from others in there general day to day arrangements we recommend to bring the support person with you to your appointment so we can teach them aswell.
A follow-up appointment will also be booked at this time, generally 7-10 days after the initial fitting appointment.
At this appointment we will assess how the individual is progressing with their new devices and make any further adjustments if required.
